CONNECT at EnerHarv 2026

19.03.2026

Following our sponsorship of the PSMA EnerHarv biennial workshops in 2022 and 2024, CONNECT is proud to once again have a strong presence at EnerHarv 2026.

This year, CONNECT researchers will showcase a range of ‘sustainable IoT’ innovations through posters and demonstrations. Contributions from Tyndall National Institute, University of Limerick, and Trinity College Dublin will highlight work on energy harvesting transducers, sustainable sensors, antennae, power management circuits, simulation models, and wireless sensor energy harvesting testbeds.

We are also delighted to see CONNECT researchers Brendan O’Flynn, Eoin Ahern, Daniela Iacopino, Mohammed Rasel Salauddin, and Mike Hayes contributing to the EnerHarv committee and helping to shape another outstanding event.

CONNECT-affiliated EU projects including UBIGIoT, LoLiPoP-IoT, RISEnergy, and INFRACHIP will also be strongly represented.

Registration is now open, along with a call for posters and demos. We encourage you to attend and connect with our researchers and partners.

About EnerHarv

EnerHarv provides a dedicated focal point for a growing community of experts, innovators, and end-users working with energy harvesting technologies. It brings together industry and academia to share knowledge, best practices, roadmaps, and real-world experiences, while creating opportunities for meaningful collaboration.

The workshop is designed to accelerate the adoption of energy harvesting and related technologies, particularly for ultra-low power IoT applications.

EnerHarv enables participants to:

  • Understand the real-world potential and limitations of energy harvesting technologies
  • Explore practical approaches to minimising power consumption and reducing reliance on batteries
  • Maximise the use of ambient energy sources for self-powered IoT systems
  • Learn, collaborate, and demonstrate innovations across industry and academia

A key goal of EnerHarv is to support the transition toward more sustainable, maintenance-free IoT deployments—helping reduce or eliminate the need for battery replacement in low-power devices.

The initiative is driven by the PSMA Energy Harvesting Committee, which identified the need for a dedicated platform to bring together the energy harvesting and power electronics communities. In addition to the biennial workshop, the committee has also hosted an industry session at APEC annually since 2017, fostering collaboration and strengthening links across these sectors.

Who should attend?

EnerHarv 2026 is targeted at a broad audience across industry and academia, with a particular focus on those working at the forefront of energy harvesting and ultra-low power IoT.

It will be especially relevant for:

  • Developers of energy harvesting solutions
Those working on energy harvesting, storage, power management, and system-level solutions (hardware, software, and modelling) for ultra-low power IoT applications.
  • Systems integrators and IoT solution providers
Professionals involved in designing, installing, and deploying IoT-enabled systems across sectors.
  • Materials and device innovators
Industrial and academic researchers developing active and passive components, looking to align materials and device innovation with real-world application needs.
  • Potential adopters of energy harvesting technologies
Organisations exploring self-powered IoT devices for applications such as building management, med-tech, assisted living, environmental monitoring, and condition monitoring of equipment, systems, and power supplies.
  • Sustainability-focused innovators
Those interested in reducing or eliminating the need for battery replacement in low-power devices.
  • Ecosystem leaders and strategists
Individuals and organisations aiming to shape and influence the future direction of the energy harvesting ecosystem.
